A new Swiss "immersive" class with a new theme - Wine Tasting class! SHMS alumnus William, certified sommelier of the World Master Sommelier Union, was invited to this event to open the door to wine tasting. In addition, Mr. René Bänziger, the Deputy Consul General of the Consulate General of Switzerland in Guangzhou, was also invited to attend the event.

There is a saying in Switzerland: The Swiss are always tight-lipped about secrets, and even their high-quality wines remain highly secretive. Switzerland has been growing wine grapes since the Roman period and is known as the "wine region on the roof of the world", but the vast majority of Swiss wine is only for domestic consumption, and only about 1% is exported to Germany, which is the main reason why Swiss wine is little known. In order to appreciate wine, we not only need to know more about the history and culture of wine, grape cultivation and wine-making technology, but also need a lot of wine tasting practice. This Wine Tasting class is to build a bridge for international exchanges between China and Switzerland for us.
